My practicum (re)joins me with US born elementary school girls that are accused by “true Americans” of lying about sexual abuse in order to get attention and to get their undocumented mom papers. The mother chokes out to me how her older daughter recently fled school when a little boy touched her leg and caused a flashback to men pulling off her calzoncitos. We all nearly vomit by the end of this meeting. Yes, my red-white-blue-liberty-and-justice-for-all fellow citizens, that tiny girl cowering under a table is DEFINITELY trying to swing a crime victim’s visa for her mom. You caught her. Keep punishing her for her mom’s nationality and show ALL the “Mexicans” who’s legit!
